Shelters & Containerized Systems
Mission-ready workspaces. Canadian engineering, integrated systems and production expertise.
BUILT AROUND THE MISSION
More than a shelter.
A complete working environment.
DEW designs and manufactures military-grade shelters, integrating power, heating, air conditioning and equipment around the work performed inside.
From command posts to mobile workshops, each configuration brings together the workspace and systems needed for its role.

PURPOSE-BUILT INTERIORS
The right space.
The right equipment.
The fit-out follows the mission: working surfaces, storage, utilities and installed equipment are planned together.
- Command posts and communications
- Vehicle maintenance and mobile workshops
- Medical and dental offices
- Field kitchens and support spaces
DEW also develops customized shelters and containers for mining, oil and gas, and other sectors.
ARMOURED SHELTERS
Protection built into the workspace.
For protected deployable spaces, DEW’s armoured shelters integrate ballistic protection into the structure using modular, replaceable armour panels.
Size, function and configuration are tailored to customer requirements. Protection requirements and qualification are established for the specific application.

Published mission kits include command posts, communications, field offices, ambulance roles and mobile repair teams.

From integration
to renewal.
DEW’s shelter production brings structures, systems and interior fit-out together. In 2009, DEW was selected to supply the Canadian Forces MSVS family of rigid and expandable shelters, configured into 28 variants.
Existing shelters can also be refurbished, upgraded and reconfigured to introduce modern capabilities and extend their service life.
