INTEGRATED VEHICLE PROTECTION
Armour belongs in the platform design.
DEW designs, integrates and manufactures armour for customer-specific vehicle requirements. Its published experience includes light, medium and heavy armoured vehicles, tactical wheeled vehicles, MRAP-class platforms and the M113 family.
Protection depends on more than individual panels. Coverage, joints and mounting interfaces must be considered alongside the vehicle’s configuration, weight limits and required performance.
Protection requirements
Ballistic armour, mine and blast protection, spall liners and integrated vehicle armour.
Platform integration
Design, working with vehicle manufacturers and end users to address geometry, coverage and mounting interfaces.
Test & evaluation
In-house ballistic testing supports development, followed by qualification against the program’s specified requirements.
